Rayo Vallecano has received official clearance to host home matches at the Estadio de Vallecas. The Madrid government lifted the suspension on the facility's operation after a follow-up inspection confirmed that the venue meets all necessary safety and maintenance standards.
The decision, signed by the Madrid Councilor for Culture, Tourism and Sport, Mariano de Paco, is effective immediately. Authorities noted significant progress in addressing the issues identified during the initial audit conducted earlier this summer.
Despite the approval, the club’s upcoming home match against Espanyol will still take place at the Butarque stadium due to scheduling logistics. The team’s official return to Vallecas is set for October 10 against Athletic Bilbao.
It should be noted that while match operations have been approved, the separate legal process regarding the stadium's concession agreement with the club remains ongoing.
