Rayo Vallecano announces further commitments after fan pressure
The club has expanded its list of agreements with supporters, promising to discuss the stadium's future and season ticket pricing following fan criticism.
Rayo Vallecano has announced additional commitments to its supporters following public pressure from fan groups. The Federation of Rayo Supporters and the ADRV Platform had previously challenged the club's initial statement, arguing that it failed to accurately reflect the agreements reached during their recent meetings.
The club's initial proposal included monthly meetings with fans and a pledge to restore the traditional sash on next season's kits. However, supporters' groups demanded more accountability, stating that their "truce is not eternal" and calling for genuine commitment from the board.
In a follow-up, the club confirmed that upcoming meetings will focus on substantive issues, including exploring the feasibility of keeping the stadium at its current location, establishing agreements for visiting fan tickets, and reviewing season ticket prices for the 2027-28 campaign.
As a gesture of goodwill, the club has also agreed to replace the banner in the north stand for the match against Valencia, with fan proposals being considered for the design. Fan representatives emphasized their hope that future club negotiators will hold actual decision-making power to ensure any final agreement upholds the dignity of the club's supporters.
