Premier Sports Cup: Rangers to face Aberdeen in semi-finals
Rangers have been drawn against Aberdeen in the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals, while Hearts will face rivals Hibernian at Hampden Park.
The draw for the semi-finals of the Premier Sports Cup has been confirmed, setting up two high-profile ties at Hampden Park. Rangers have been drawn against Aberdeen, while the other semi-final will feature an Edinburgh derby between Heart of Midlothian and Hibernian.
These semi-final matches are scheduled to take place over the weekend of 31 October to 1 November.
Derek McInnes’ side secured their place in the final four following a comprehensive victory over Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday. Rangers enter this stage as the defending champions, having won the competition in the 2023-24 season with a narrow 1-0 victory over Aberdeen in the final.
In the quarter-finals, Hibernian advanced with a 3-0 win over Ross County, while Hearts defeated Stenhousemuir by the same scoreline. Aberdeen earned their semi-final spot by knocking out Kilmarnock on penalties. The two Edinburgh rivals have already met this season, with Hearts winning 3-1 at Easter Road in the Scottish Premiership.
