In the fifth round of the Ukrainian Premier League, LNZ secured a goalless draw against Dynamo Kyiv. Despite the lack of goals, the match proved to be a challenging test for the visitors.
Following the game, LNZ head coach Vitaliy Ponomarov shared his perspective on the opponent:
There is a lot of criticism towards Dynamo today, and towards us as well, of course, but I am convinced that Dynamo Kyiv is only behind Shakhtar in terms of player quality. This is a good team that should not be underestimated. Vitaliy Ponomarov
The coach admitted that the result was positive for his side, noting that Dynamo dominated large portions of the game, particularly in the first half, which limited LNZ's ability to create counter-attacking threats. Ponomarov also praised the performance of goalkeeper Dmytro Ledviy, who was instrumental in keeping the clean sheet.
