Paris Saint-Germain expands football academy presence in Mexico

French football giant Paris Saint-Germain is strengthening its reach in Mexico by opening a second site for its official academy. Following the success of its initial location in Zapopan, the club is now bringing its training model to Toluca.

The academy welcomes children and teenagers between the ages of 4 and 18, regardless of their skill level. The program, running for the 2026-2027 season, utilizes the same training methodology and philosophy implemented in the club's youth setup in France. Dedicated categories for female players have also been established to encourage participation.

Participants will have the opportunity to compete for a spot in the annual PSG Academy World Cup, a tournament that brings together talents from centers around the globe. Those selected will earn the chance to play at the iconic Parc des Princes stadium in Paris.

The new Toluca facility is located within the Tec de Monterrey Campus Toluca. Training is expected to commence on September 7, 2026. Mexico currently holds the distinction of being the first Spanish-speaking country to host an official PSG academy.
