Newcastle sign Tottenham forward Martha Thomas
Newcastle United have signed Scotland forward Martha Thomas from Tottenham for an undisclosed fee.

Women's Super League 2 side Newcastle United have confirmed the signing of Scotland forward Martha Thomas. The 30-year-old joins the club from Tottenham for an undisclosed fee.
Thomas brings extensive experience from the top flight, having previously represented Manchester United, West Ham, and Liverpool, where she spent the second half of last season on loan. During her three-year spell at Spurs, she scored 13 goals in 66 appearances.

Newcastle finished sixth in WSL 2 last season, struggling towards the end of the campaign without a win in their final six matches. The club has been active in the transfer market, securing nine new signings this summer, even as they adjust to the departure of top scorer Emily Murphy to Brighton.
Manager Tanya Oxtoby praised the arrival, stating: "Martha is a proven striker both in the WSL and internationally. She is a physical striker and adds outstanding work-rate to the squad. She has shown that she has the ability to score all kinds of goals."
