The Moroccan national team has officially announced emergency changes to its 2026 World Cup squad following injury setbacks. The team was forced to adjust its roster shortly before the start of the tournament.
Winger Abde Ezzalzouli of Real Betis has been ruled out after sustaining an injury during a recent friendly match against Norway. He has been replaced in the squad by Angers forward Amine Sbaï.
Additionally, Morocco will be without Marseille defender Nayef Aguerd, who is unable to recover in time from a groin injury. Marouane Saadane from Al-Fateh has been called up as his replacement.
Morocco is scheduled to play its opening match of the 2026 World Cup on June 14 against Brazil. Following that, the African side will face Scotland and Haiti in the group stage.
