Montse Tomé appointed as new head coach of Pachuca Femenil
Former Spain women's national team coach Montse Tomé takes charge of Pachuca Femenil for the Apertura 2026 tournament.

Pachuca has officially announced the appointment of Spanish tactician Montse Tomé as the new head coach of their women's first team. She will lead the squad through the Apertura 2026 tournament in the Liga Femenil.
Tomé replaces Óscar Torres, who was dismissed following a difficult start to the campaign that saw the team manage only two wins, one draw, and five defeats. Tomé joins the club alongside her assistant coach, David Bellver.
The coaching change is part of an effort to revitalize the team, which is currently enduring its worst regular-season run since the league's inception. The club sits in sixth place in Group B with seven points, heading into their Matchday 9 fixture against Santos Laguna.
Montse Tomé brings an elite pedigree to the role. A former professional player with clubs like Oviedo, Levante, and Barcelona, she has built an impressive coaching resume. She led Spain's U-17 team to victory at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup and served as an assistant for the senior team's triumph at the 2023 World Cup. As senior head coach, she guided Spain to victory in the UEFA Women's Nations League and a runner-up finish at the 2025 European Championship.
