Liverpool could renew interest in Aurelien Tchouameni

Julian Ward, who recently returned as sporting director of Liverpool, may look to renew the club's interest in Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni. Ward, who took charge of the club's transfer policy on September 26, is a long-standing admirer of the French international.

This is not the first time the club has explored a move for the player. Ward previously attempted to sign Tchouameni in 2022 during his time at AS Monaco, but the midfielder opted for a switch to the Spanish capital instead.

Liverpool remain in the market for midfield reinforcements, and the 26-year-old remains a player of interest. However, a deal could prove difficult to facilitate. Tchouameni recently signed a contract extension keeping him at Real Madrid until 2031, leaving the Spanish giants with little pressure to part ways with the Frenchman.
