Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has informed the club's management of his desire to leave this summer. The 27-year-old is reportedly pushing for a return to Spain, aiming to rejoin Barcelona, a club whose system he knows well from his youth career.
Reports suggest Cucurella is monitoring the situation surrounding Alejandro Balde. Should Barcelona decide to sell their primary left-back, the Chelsea player could emerge as a top candidate to replace him. However, competition for his signature is significant, with Manchester City, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid also linked with interest.
Chelsea is not expected to stand in the way of a transfer, provided their valuation is met. The club is reportedly looking for a fee in the region of 40 to 50 million euros. Last season, Cucurella made 50 appearances across all competitions, contributing one goal and four assists.
