Newly promoted Ligue 1 side Le Mans continues to build its squad ahead of the new campaign. On Tuesday, the club announced the arrival of 24-year-old Algerian international Yasser Larouci.
The left-back joins as a free agent following his departure from Troyes. He spent the previous season on loan at Kifisia in the Greek top flight. Larouci has committed his future to the club by signing a contract that runs until 2029.
A product of the Liverpool academy, Larouci brings valuable top-tier experience to the squad, having made 11 appearances in the English Premier League and 42 in the French top division. He has also earned three caps for the Algerian national team.
Manager Patrick Videira will look to Larouci to provide stability on the left flank, as much of the current squad will be making their Ligue 1 debut this season. Larouci is the third signing for Le Mans this summer, following the arrivals of Louis Mafouta and Billal Brahimi.
