Kylian Mbappe reveals secret meeting with Jurgen Klopp regarding Liverpool transfer

Kylian Mbappe has revealed just how close he came to joining Liverpool back in 2017. At the time, the forward was a standout teenager at Monaco, sparking a major recruitment battle among Europe's elite clubs. Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp even arranged a highly secretive meeting on a private jet to personally pitch his vision for the club to the young attacker.

Mbappe's mother played a significant role in the negotiations, having been deeply impressed by the city and the environment at Anfield. According to the Frenchman, she felt it was a family-oriented club and urged him to take the opportunity. Despite her enthusiasm, Mbappe’s own aspirations lay elsewhere.
