The future of Kevin De Bruyne at Napoli is currently in doubt. Following a debut season hindered by a serious injury, the experienced Belgian midfielder is struggling to find a place in the plans of the new head coach, Massimiliano Allegri.
During the previous campaign, the 35-year-old managed only 1360 minutes across 21 matches, contributing five goals and four assists. Despite his limited playtime, he was included in the squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Financial pressure is a significant factor in the potential departure, as De Bruyne earns 6.5 million euros per season. The club is carefully weighing its options given the wage burden, despite the player being under contract for one more year with an option for an additional season.
Reports suggest that both the club and the player have agreed to delay any final decision until the final weeks of the current transfer window.
