Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez is preparing for a significant change in his representation. Reports suggest the Argentine is ready to end his long-term partnership with Fernando Hidalgo, who has managed his career since his time at River Plate.
Alvarez is reportedly evaluating an offer to join The Elegant Game, a sports management agency led by former PSG and Argentina playmaker Javier Pastore. The agency already manages several high-profile Argentine players, including Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
Despite the summer transfer window closing, interest in Alvarez from top clubs has not faded. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta remains a long-term admirer, viewing the striker as an ideal fit for his attack. Barcelona are also still in the conversation; while they signed Gabriel Jesus late in the window, a move to the Camp Nou has long been considered a dream destination for Alvarez.
The atmosphere at the Metropolitano has been strained for the player following a difficult start to his tenure in Madrid. While Alvarez focuses on an intensive recovery programme to regain his place in the starting XI, the narrative regarding a potential departure continues to dominate headlines ahead of the January window.
