Mauro Icardi is actively seeking a return to Italian football, with the striker keen on a comeback to Serie A. Having explored various avenues since last summer, the forward has frequently reached out to Inter Milan directors, both directly and through representatives.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Icardi has made it clear that he is willing to accept significantly reduced financial terms. Beyond the salary, he has expressed a readiness to occupy a secondary role, specifically accepting a place as a fifth-choice forward in the squad to make a return to the San Siro viable.

The Argentine is also open to joining Juventus. During his time with Galatasaray, Icardi was prepared to accept a move to Turin last January, though that deal did not materialize. Additionally, Lazio showed interest in signing the player during the summer window, but a formal agreement was not reached.
