Gustavo Puerta leaves Colombia camp briefly following birth of his daughter

Colombia midfielder Gustavo Puerta briefly stepped away from the national team's training camp for a special family milestone. The player became a father following the birth of his daughter, Oriana.

The midfielder shared the news on social media, posting images of his wife, Valeria Valencia, and their newborn daughter. Puerta was present throughout the labor, supporting his family during the delivery.

With authorization from the coaching staff, Puerta visited his home region of Valle del Cauca before quickly traveling back to New Jersey. He returned to training on Wednesday and is available for the upcoming match against Paraguay this Friday.
