Mateo Chavez: From Chivas Academy to Mexico National Team Star

Mateo Chavez has emerged as one of the standout figures in the new generation of Mexican national team players. His impressive form has earned him the full confidence of head coach Rafael Marquez during the current FIFA window.

The Mexican full-back has cemented his place in the starting lineup at Dutch side AZ Alkmaar. With seven appearances so far this season, he has contributed one goal and three assists, proving his value both in defensive coverage and attacking transitions.
