American attacking midfielder Giovanni Reyna has signed a long-term contract with French club Strasbourg until the summer of 2031.

French club Strasbourg has officially announced the signing of American attacking midfielder Giovanni Reyna. The 23-year-old has signed a long-term contract that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2031.
The transfer fee is confirmed at 3 million euros, with the agreement also including performance-based bonuses and a 10% sell-on clause for the player's future transfer.
Reyna, a product of the Borussia Dortmund academy, made his professional breakthrough in Germany. Before moving to Strasbourg, he played for Borussia Monchengladbach and had a loan spell at Nottingham Forest. During the 2025/26 season, he contributed one goal and one assist in 20 appearances for the Gladbach side.
On the international stage, Giovanni is a key figure for the USA national team, having earned 39 caps and scored 10 goals. He also featured in the 2026 World Cup, where he scored once in five appearances.
Strasbourg expects the American to become a pivotal player in their attacking unit, bringing both creativity and valuable experience from top-tier European leagues.
