Francisco Fernandes: Karpaty dropped two points against Livyi Bereh

Karpaty Lviv head coach Francisco Fernandes commented on the 1-1 draw against Livyi Bereh in the Ukrainian Premier League. The manager felt his team dropped two points in a game he believed they dominated for long stretches.

Fernandes noted that conceding a goal in a spontaneous moment caused the team to lose composure. Despite the result, the coach expressed gratitude toward his players for their physical efforts, especially given the challenging conditions during their preparation due to air raid alerts.

Discussing squad management, the coach addressed injuries to players like Vladyslav Kostenko, noting the recovery process is underway. Fernandes also defended his tactical decisions, including the substitution of Seri and the introduction of Rusyn to stretch the opponent's defense and create more attacking opportunities.

Looking ahead, Karpaty are preparing for their next match against Shakhtar, scheduled for September 5. Meanwhile, Livyi Bereh will face Chornomorets on September 4.
