Fiorentina is considering disciplinary action against former head coach Fabio Grosso. The club is currently investigating whether the coach's actions constitute a breach of contract, which would allow them to part ways without paying severance compensation.
Tensions reached a breaking point following a discussion between Grosso and sporting director Fabio Paratici. The coach expressed doubts about his ability to continue leading the squad, citing issues with the current roster and a lack of alignment with club management. Grosso also suggested he might not attend training on Monday, though he did not formally submit a resignation.
Initially, the club intended to keep the coach at least until the upcoming international break. However, after three defeats in the first three matches of the Serie A season, Fiorentina sits at the bottom of the table. The club has since appointed Paolo Vanoli as the new manager.
