Barcelona forward Ferran Torres is enduring a tough World Cup campaign, though his recent appearances for Spain have shown signs of improvement.

Barcelona forward Ferran Torres is striving to find his best form at this year's World Cup. Following a series of frustrating moments, including a goal ruled out for offside against Saudi Arabia, the player has admitted to feeling significant psychological pressure.
The 26-year-old is known for being an emotional player who relies heavily on confidence; he is capable of scoring in consecutive matches when his head is in the right place, but struggles deeply when things do not go his way. His performance in the opener against Cape Verde, where he hit the crossbar, made him a target for social media criticism.
However, reducing Torres' World Cup to these misses would be unfair. In his recent outings, having come off the bench on the left wing, he brought much-needed energy and depth to Spain's attack. His contribution to the team's qualification for the quarter-finals has been notable, particularly his brilliant assist for Mikel Merino against Portugal.
The player feels he has less right to fail than others, despite scoring 21 goals for Barcelona across all competitions this season.
Torres' future at Barcelona remains uncertain. His contract expires in one year, and no renewal offer has been presented. Due to complex financial conditions and obligations to Manchester City, the club might consider a sale, or the player could see out his contract to leave as a free agent next summer. Interest in the forward has also been linked to PSG.
