Fermin Lopez vacates jersey number for Rodri at Barcelona
Barcelona has updated its squad numbers ahead of the new season, with Fermin Lopez freeing up the number 16 for new signing Rodri.

Barcelona has officially released an updated list of squad numbers for the current season, reflecting the club's recent high-profile transfer activity. The changes are largely centered around the arrival of superstar midfielder Rodri following his deal from Manchester City.
Young talent Fermin Lopez has officially changed his number to accommodate the new signing. He will now wear the prestigious number 7 shirt, which became vacant following the departure of Ferran Torres. This move allowed Fermin to vacate his previous number 16, which will now be worn by Rodri.
The squad overhaul also extends to the goalkeeping position. Following the exit of longtime captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen, the iconic number 1 shirt has been handed to a new player. Goalkeeper Joan Garcia will now wear the number 1 jersey.
