Deportivo sign Atletico defender and Barcelona midfielder

Spanish side Deportivo La Coruña have concluded their summer transfer activity by securing two loan moves from La Liga giants. The club has finalized the arrivals of Atlético Madrid central defender Jose Maria Gimenez and Barcelona defensive midfielder Marc Casado.

Both players have joined on season-long loan agreements. In the case of the 31-year-old Uruguayan defender, Deportivo have secured an option to purchase the player permanently at the end of the term.

Gimenez brings significant experience to the squad, having recorded 384 appearances, 14 goals, and 13 assists during his 13-year tenure in Madrid. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Casado joins after a breakthrough campaign at Barcelona, where he accumulated 1,397 minutes across 34 appearances and provided one assist.
