Dani Ceballos is set to return to Real Betis. The 30-year-old midfielder will rejoin the Seville-based club as a free agent following the conclusion of his contract with Real Madrid.
For the player, this is a return to his roots: he developed through the Betis academy and made his senior debut for the club in 2014. During his initial spell with the team, Ceballos made 105 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 9 assists.
His 2017 move to Real Madrid brought him numerous honors, including three Champions League titles, two La Liga championships, and a Copa del Rey. However, limited playing time in Madrid in recent seasons prompted the midfielder to seek a return to a familiar environment.
