Courtois cites Mbappe example to highlight Champions League difficulty

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has shared his perspective on the intense competition within the Champions League. The goalkeeper urged fans and observers not to view success in the premier European competition as a given, despite the club's record 15 titles.

When you play for Real, the goal is always clear — it's winning the Champions League, but you shouldn't take it for granted. Look at Mbappe. It is extremely difficult to even reach the final in this tournament. Thibaut Courtois

Courtois highlighted his teammate, who joined the squad following the club's 2024 triumph. The French forward has yet to win a Champions League title in his career, which serves as a reminder to the goalkeeper of just how difficult it is to reach the final stages of the competition.
