Cruz Azul receives positive injury updates ahead of Pumas clash
José Paradela has avoided a serious injury, while Amaury García and Omar Campos are cleared to return as Cruz Azul prepares for the match against Pumas.
Ahead of their 12th-round Liga MX match against Pumas, Cruz Azul has received encouraging news regarding player fitness. Head coach Joel Huiqui is optimistic about the availability of midfielder José Paradela, who had caused concern during the FIFA break due to muscular discomfort.
Medical examinations conducted on Wednesday ruled out a muscle tear, confirming that the issue was minor. The club’s medical staff is now working intensely to ensure the player is fully match-fit for Sunday's encounter in Ciudad Universitaria.
In addition to Paradela's positive outlook, the team confirmed that both Amaury García and Omar Campos have been cleared for training. Both players had previously been sidelined with minor muscular complaints but have now rejoined the squad.
