Beñat San José Appointed New Rayo Vallecano Manager
Spanish coach Beñat San José, formerly of Liga MX clubs Mazatlán and Atlas, has been named the new head coach of Rayo Vallecano.

Spanish manager Beñat San José has been officially appointed as the new head coach of Rayo Vallecano. This move marks his return to the top flight of Spanish football following an extensive and diverse international career.
The 46-year-old coach brings significant experience to the role, having previously managed 60 matches for SD Eibar in Spain. However, in recent years, his career was heavily defined by his time in Mexico's Liga MX, where he managed Mazatlán FC and, most recently, Atlas, attempting to implement his footballing philosophy in the Mexican championship.
San José's career is marked by international success. In South America, he won titles in Chile with Universidad Católica and established a historic legacy in Bolivia with Club Bolívar, winning three league titles. He has also coached in the Middle East and led KAS Eupen in Belgium to historic finishes.
Taking the reins at Rayo Vallecano, San José is tasked with establishing the club firmly within the elite ranks of Spanish football. The club hierarchy expects his vast tactical experience from different football cultures to be a key asset in their LaLiga campaign.
