Yan Diomande has returned to training with RB Leipzig at their pre-season camp in Saalfelden, Austria. The 19-year-old winger, who was initially sidelined due to illness, has made a full recovery and is now preparing for the 2026-27 campaign under new head coach Martin Demichelis.
The return of the reigning Bundesliga Rookie of the Season is a significant boost for the club as they look to build on last year's third-place finish. Diomande’s impressive tally of 12 goals and eight assists in 33 league appearances was instrumental in securing Champions League football. His presence in camp allows Demichelis to begin integrating the forward into his tactical plans for the upcoming season.
Amid persistent speculation linking the player to Real Madrid, sporting director Marcel Schafer addressed the media directly from the training base to clarify the situation.
