Besiktas president Serdal Adali has publicly addressed reports suggesting his club lost a transfer battle for Mohamed Salah to Trabzonspor. Adali dismissed the claims, clarifying that the Egyptian captain was never part of the club's transfer plans.

"We did not want the Mohamed Salah deal, and this must be clear to everyone," Adali stated. "We did not sign him, but not because we lost the deal or were unable to bring him in. That talk is not true."

The president explained that previous comments made by the coach were misinterpreted by the media. Adali emphasized that since he took charge, the club has not failed to secure any player they actively targeted. He also noted that relations with Trabzonspor remain positive.

Regarding new signing Leandro Trossard, Adali confirmed there are no issues with his registration. While the paperwork is currently being finalized, the club expects the Belgian forward to be available for selection starting with the second match of the campaign.
