Ben Chilwell returns to Crystal Palace on permanent deal

Crystal Palace have secured the return of Ben Chilwell on a permanent transfer. The 29-year-old England defender moves back to Selhurst Park following a successful loan spell during the 2024/25 campaign, where he helped the Eagles lift the FA Cup.

The deal was finalized after the club submitted a deal sheet following the transfer deadline. Chilwell joins from RC Strasbourg, having moved to the Ligue 1 side from Chelsea in September 2025.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish welcomed the return of the defender, highlighting his contribution to the club's trophy-winning campaign last season. Chilwell, who has 21 caps for England, previously played for Chelsea, Leicester City, and Huddersfield Town during his career.
