Bayern Munich cruise to 5-1 victory over Stuttgart
Bayern Munich opened their 2026/27 Bundesliga campaign with a commanding 5-1 win against Stuttgart at home.

Bayern Munich made a statement in their 2026/27 Bundesliga opener, comfortably defeating Stuttgart 5-1.
Dayot Upamecano broke the deadlock in the 21st minute with a header from a corner kick. Although Stuttgart's Josha Vagnoman leveled the score early in the second half, the hosts quickly regained control.
Michael Olise restored the lead in the 55th minute following an assist from Joshua Kimmich. Moments later, Vagnoman turned the ball into his own net, extending Bayern's advantage.
Aleksandar Pavlovic added a fourth in the 82nd minute after a setup by Ismael Saibari, and Luis Diaz completed the scoring in stoppage time with a clinical finish.
