Barcelona intend to resume negotiations for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez immediately after his participation in the 2026 World Cup, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalan club is prepared to offer 100 million euros, plus additional bonuses and the inclusion of one of their own players in the deal. Barcelona's leadership reportedly has no plans to exceed the fixed transfer fee beyond this amount.
Reports suggest that Alvarez himself is keen on a move to Barcelona, viewing the Catalan giants as his preferred destination for the next stage of his career.
However, Atletico Madrid are currently reluctant to sell one of their star players to a direct rival in La Liga. The Madrid club is said to prefer a transfer to England, where Arsenal have also shown interest in the forward.
