Barcelona remain focused on strengthening their attack, with forward Julian Alvarez identified as a primary target. According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, the Catalan club is engaged in ongoing discussions with Atletico Madrid regarding a potential move for the Argentine.
Romano indicated that the two clubs will continue their dialogue in the coming days. While Barcelona’s intention to bring in a new striker is clear, the realization of the deal hinges heavily on the stance of the Madrid side.
"They will try to sign him, that is certain. As for whether the deal can be closed or not, that depends on Atletico Madrid more than Barcelona, but the negotiations will continue between the two clubs," Romano explained.
