Artem Besedin leaves Czech club SK Lisen
The Czech second-division club has decided not to renew the contract of the 30-year-old Ukrainian forward due to underwhelming performance.
Ukrainian forward Artem Besedin has officially become a free agent. Czech side SK Lisen, currently competing in the country's second tier, announced the end of their cooperation with the 30-year-old player upon the expiration of his contract.
The club's management did not hide their disappointment regarding the player's performance. Officials emphasized that they expected significantly higher productivity from the Ukrainian forward, noting his background in the UEFA Champions League with Dynamo Kyiv. However, he was unable to reach his full potential in Czech football.
Besedin joined the Brno-based club during the 2024/25 winter break. During his tenure, he made 24 appearances and scored two goals. In the 2025/26 season, he featured in 16 matches, adding one goal to his tally.
For the club, the season ended in disappointment. Despite finishing third in the regular season, the team failed to secure promotion to the top division, suffering a 1-7 aggregate defeat against Slovacko in the promotion play-off semi-finals.
