Chelsea express interest in Julian Alvarez

Chelsea have joined the list of clubs monitoring the situation of Atletico Madrid and Argentina striker Julian Alvarez. According to journalist Nicolo Schira, representatives from the London club held a meeting with Atletico's leadership last Friday.

The primary focus of the talks was a potential transfer involving Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson, but the parties also discussed the possibility of an Alvarez move. The Londoners inquired about the conditions under which the Madrid club would consider selling the Argentine forward.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa remains the frontrunner to sign Jackson. Earlier reports also linked Barcelona and Arsenal with interest in Alvarez, though Atletico reportedly has no plans to sell the player to the Catalan club.
