Arsenal targets Ezri Konsa as primary defensive reinforcement

London's Arsenal have identified Aston Villa centre-back Ezri Konsa as their primary candidate to bolster their defence this summer. According to reports from BBC journalist Sami Mokbel, the club has already approached the Villans regarding a potential move for the 28-year-old Englishman.
This search for defensive cover follows an injury to key centre-back William Saliba. While Konsa remains the top priority, the Birmingham-based club is reportedly seeking around £60 million for his services and is reluctant to part ways with a key member of their squad.
Arsenal is also monitoring alternative options to strengthen the backline. These include Jacobo Ramon of Como, though his contract terms present complications, and John Stones, who could leave Manchester City as a free agent.
