Al-Nassr president Abdullah Al-Majed announces departure

Al-Nassr president Abdullah Al-Majed has officially announced his departure from his role, following in the footsteps of Al-Ahli's Khalid Al-Ghamdi, who recently left his position.

In a statement shared on social media, Al-Majed explained that his statutory term had concluded and he had no intention of extending his stay due to personal work commitments. He expressed gratitude toward the staff, players, and fans, specifically highlighting the achievement of the league title, which ended a seven-year wait for the club.

Al-Majed noted that he intends to return to the "yellow stands" as a regular supporter. He confirmed that he will support whichever candidate the fans identify as the ideal choice to lead the club moving forward.

This leadership change aligns with reports suggesting potential changes to the governance of Saudi clubs owned by the Public Investment Fund, with speculation growing that these clubs could be put up for sale in the near future.
