Waleed Al-Farraj begins new career chapter with Rotana
Prominent Saudi media personality Waleed Al-Farraj will host a new sports program on the Rotana Khalijia network starting mid-August.
Saudi Arabia's most prominent media figure, Waleed Al-Farraj, has officially signed with Rotana Media Group. The deal marks one of the most significant media moves in recent months, signaling the network's intent to expand its footprint across the Saudi and Arab sporting landscape.
Al-Farraj is set to front a new daily program titled 'Rotana Sport with Waleed' on the Rotana Khalijia channel. The show will debut on 12 August, airing daily at 11:30pm.
Reflecting on the move via his official X account, Al-Farraj described the transition as the beginning of a fresh chapter in his professional career. He expressed gratitude to Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal for his patronage and trust, while also acknowledging the management of Rotana Media Group for the warm reception he received upon signing.
The veteran broadcaster intends to maintain the journalistic approach that made him a household name. He described the new platform as inclusive for all, emphasizing his commitment to presenting a wide range of opinions and debating sporting issues with professionalism and neutrality.
