Tigres players ask for patience after Vancouver draw

After a 1-1 draw against Vancouver Whitecaps and a penalty shootout victory that secured an extra point, Tigres players Carlos Felipe Rodríguez and Antonio de María acknowledged that the team has yet to reach its best version. They assured fans that the squad remains confident in finding their rhythm.

Goalkeeper Carlos Felipe Rodríguez highlighted the positive improvements shown by the team in recent matches, despite the lack of collective consistency. "It is positive, I think we have made improvements. Although the team hasn't found itself yet, I think we are going step by step, and eventually, the moment will come when this team connects and becomes what it has always been," he stated.

Rodríguez also addressed the late red card for Nahuel Guzmán, emphasizing the Argentine goalkeeper's historical importance to both Tigres and Mexican football. "It's complicated because he is the greatest, I think, not only of Tigres but of Mexico from my point of view. He is a winner, and you understand the legacy he has built," he added.

Antonio de María admitted that the dressing room was disappointed not to secure a win at home, but insisted that as long as there is a chance to advance in the Leagues Cup, the team will keep working. "The team is working every day to move forward. We are disappointed because we wanted to win, but as long as the possibility exists, we will keep working," De María said, asking for patience from the supporters.
