Roma close to signing Porto talent: agreement details
Roma have reached a verbal agreement with Porto for a loan deal with a future obligation to buy worth €50 million.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Roma are nearing a deal for a Porto talent after reaching a verbal agreement on the structure of the transfer. The move is expected to take the form of an initial loan with a fee, which will evolve into an obligation to buy based on specific performance criteria.
The trigger for the permanent transfer will reportedly be linked to the player's appearances and Roma's qualification for the Champions League. While the two clubs had previously explored a deal involving a 50% stake in the player's registration, they ultimately settled on this loan-to-buy structure.
The total valuation of the move remains at approximately €50 million. This figure is split between an initial loan fee of €7-8 million and a buy-out clause set at €42-43 million. The sides are now finalizing the remaining conditions of the agreement.
