Régis Brouard has officially extended his tenure at FC Rouen, signing a one-year deal that keeps him at the helm until the end of the 2026/2027 season. The announcement puts an end to a period of uncertainty regarding the 59-year-old's future following the club's defeat in the Ligue 2 promotion play-offs against Laval.
According to the club, the extension serves as a clear symbol of stability and continuity. Brouard, who took charge in November 2024, guided the team to a third-place finish in the National division after a season spent largely at the top of the standings.
The decision came after deep reflection by the manager, influenced by a complex relationship with the club's owner, Tarkan Ser, and general uncertainty regarding future resources. Despite these challenges, the parties have committed to continuing their project together.
FC Rouen, which was saved from liquidation in June 2024, remains focused on its objective of reaching Ligue 2 in the coming seasons.
