Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White fined for road traffic offence
Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White has been fined £1,000 after failing to respond to police inquiries regarding his car running a red light.
Nottingham Forest and England midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White has been issued a £1,000 court bill after his vehicle was caught running a red light. The 26-year-old was convicted of failing to provide the identity of the driver following the incident.
Court documents reveal that the player's Range Rover passed a red light in West Bridgford 1.1 seconds after the signal changed. The investigation was triggered after Nottinghamshire Police identified a discrepancy in the vehicle's registration plate, leading them to track down the car in Staffordshire. Gibbs-White failed to respond to two subsequent police letters requesting confirmation of who was driving at the time.
At Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court, Gibbs-White was sentenced under the fast-track Single Justice Procedure. He was fined £660, assessed six penalty points on his licence, and ordered to pay an additional £384 in costs and surcharges.
This conviction follows previous driving issues for the midfielder. In May 2025, he was banned from driving for six months after being caught speeding on multiple occasions within a three-month period.
