Tottenham eye stunning £125m swoop for Morgan Gibbs-White

Tottenham are reportedly preparing to reignite their pursuit of Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White ahead of the January transfer window. The north London club is keen to address their lack of attacking rhythm under Roberto De Zerbi.

Spurs previously attempted to sign the England international in 2025 by triggering a £60 million release clause, but the deal collapsed after Forest challenged the approach. Despite that setback, Tottenham's interest has remained strong. De Zerbi is currently desperate for a creative spark, as his side has struggled immensely, sitting at the bottom of the Premier League table after five winless matches.

However, any new approach will require a massive financial commitment. Reports indicate that Forest now values Gibbs-White in the region of £125 million. This valuation reflects his stellar form, having been the league's leading scorer in the 2026 calendar year with 13 strikes.

Spending a nine-figure sum mid-season would place enormous pressure on both the player and the club’s recruitment department to deliver immediate results.

With Gibbs-White firmly under contract and serving as a cornerstone of the Forest squad, the selling club holds all the leverage. Spurs must now decide if they are willing to break the bank to finally land their primary target this January.
