Nicolo Tresoldi agrees to represent Italy
Nicolo Tresoldi has accepted Roberto Mancini's proposal to switch international allegiance. Italy is currently awaiting FIFA approval.

Forward Nicolo Tresoldi has officially accepted Roberto Mancini's proposal to represent Italy. The youngster, who previously represented Germany at the Under-21 level with an impressive record of 12 goals in 24 appearances, has opted to switch national teams.
Under FIFA's 'One-time change' rule, Tresoldi is eligible for the switch. As he holds Italian citizenship, his previous appearances for Germany's youth sides in official competitions do not permanently cap-tie him to the German national team. Players only become ineligible for a switch after making their first official appearance for a senior national team.
The Italian football authorities are now waiting for final approval from FIFA. The coaching staff aims to have the player available by September 18, when the squad list for the upcoming Nations League matches will be announced. Italy is scheduled to face Belgium, Turkey, and France in the coming international window.
Beyond Tresoldi, Mancini has also secured the commitment of Cagliari's Alessandro Romano, who has previously represented Switzerland at the youth level. Additionally, Udinese's 18-year-old centre-back Matteo Palma remains a target as the federation looks to bolster its ranks with dual-nationality talent.
