Moroccan midfielder Bilal Nadir has officially joined German club Hamburg on a free transfer. The move follows his departure from Ligue 1 side Olympique Marseille.
Nadir, who will wear the number 4 shirt, passed his medical examinations before joining the squad at their pre-season training camp in Austria to finalize the deal. He has signed a long-term contract with the club.
I am very happy to become a Hamburg player, and I can't wait to meet the club's fans and play for this city. Bilal Nadir
The Hamburg hierarchy has welcomed the addition, with sporting board member Kathleen Kruger praising the player's versatility in midfield and his ability to provide tactical flexibility. Sporting director Claus Costa highlighted the technical quality of the 1.86-meter-tall left-footer.
Nadir joined Olympique Marseille in 2021 after developing through the Nice academy. During his time at Marseille, he made 53 official appearances, contributing two goals and five assists, including experience in the Champions League and Europa League.
