Crystal Palace central defender Maxence Lacroix is on the verge of joining Chelsea. Negotiations between the two clubs have been ongoing and are reportedly nearing a successful conclusion.
As part of the potential deal, the clubs are discussing a season-long loan move for Chelsea defender Axel Disasi to Crystal Palace. However, the Blues would prefer a permanent sale of the 28-year-old Frenchman, who is also attracting interest from AC Milan and AS Roma.
The need for a new centre-back at Crystal Palace arose following the winter sale of Marc Guehi to Manchester City. With Lacroix expected to leave, the potential arrival of Disasi is viewed as a primary option to bolster their defensive options.
