Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford returned to full training at Carrington on Wednesday. This comes as a major boost for the Red Devils ahead of their upcoming Champions League fixture against Azerbaijan champions FK Sabah.
The 28-year-old's availability had been uncertain after he was forced off during the second half of Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Everton. Head coach Michael Carrick later clarified that the forward had experienced some discomfort, but his return to the group indicates the issue was not serious.
Rashford’s presence is key for United, as he has re-established himself in the squad following loan spells at Aston Villa and Barcelona. He has already featured three times this season, starting in each of the last two games against Ipswich and Everton.
Elsewhere at the training ground, defender Luke Shaw was absent on Wednesday, with the club confirming it was a planned rest day for the player.
A demanding week lies ahead for Manchester United. Thursday’s home match against FK Sabah marks the club's return to the prestigious European tournament for the first time since December 2023, followed by a high-stakes Manchester derby against Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday.
