Following Bournemouth's convincing 3-0 victory over AC Milan in the Europa League league phase, manager Marco Rose praised his team's comprehensive performance. The coach was pleased with how his side dictated the game from start to finish.
This was an important night for us. I am happy for the club and our fans. I am very proud of my players. They played a great match from the first to the last minute. We completely suppressed the opponent and did not let them create anything. Marco Rose
Rose noted that his team was pressing effectively and winning duels even before the red card tilted the game in their favor. Despite the dominant display, the manager insisted that the squad must keep their feet on the ground as the season progresses.
We will remain humble. We know we are playing well and understand that, at full strength, we are capable of competing with any opponent anywhere. We are moving in the right direction, but we must not get complacent. If we decide we have already achieved our goals, we will start to have problems. Marco Rose
The manager added that the heavy fixture list remains a significant test for his side, suggesting that a better assessment of their Europa League prospects can be made in the spring.
