Liverpool set a ceiling for Barcola signing with £45m gap

Liverpool are preparing to submit their first official offer for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola. The Anfield board has identified the France international as their primary target to bolster their attacking options following the departure of Mohamed Salah at the end of the 2025-2026 season.

According to reports, the player has made his intentions clear, expressing a strong desire to test himself in the Premier League and join Liverpool. However, the club currently faces a significant financial hurdle, with PSG setting a valuation of approximately £145 million.

Liverpool are refusing to meet that astronomical figure. Sources indicate they plan to formalize their interest with a bid capped at £100 million.

Barcola’s situation provides Liverpool with a degree of leverage, as the winger has flatly refused to sign an extension to his current contract, which has only two years remaining. Last season, the 23-year-old was a standout performer, contributing 13 goals and 7 assists across 49 appearances while helping PSG secure a domestic and Champions League double.

While his natural position is on the left, Liverpool see him as the ideal candidate to fill the void on the right flank left by Salah. Since joining PSG from the Lyon academy in 2023, Barcola has amassed 152 appearances for the club, recording 39 goals and 37 assists.
