LFP to decide venue for Rennes vs PSG return match
On Friday morning, the LFP competitions commission will meet to determine the venue for the second league match between Rennes and PSG.

The competitions commission of the LFP is set to meet on Friday morning to decide where the return match between Rennes and PSG will be played. The fixture is currently scheduled for the weekend of March 6 as part of Ligue 1's 23rd matchday.
The issue stems from the first match of the season, which was originally scheduled at the Parc des Princes but had to be moved to Roazhon Park after the Parisian pitch was deemed unplayable. That match ended in a 2-2 draw.
While regulations state that reversing a match has "no impact on the rest of the calendar, except in exceptional circumstances," the two clubs remain in disagreement. Rennes insists the return match should take place in Brittany, while PSG maintains it should be hosted at the Parc des Princes. Paris coach Luis Enrique has publicly stated that it is unfair for teams to play both home or both away matches against the same opponent.
The commission must now determine whether the pitch issues caused by heatwaves qualify as "exceptional circumstances," especially as such weather conditions are becoming more frequent.
